Receiving Clerk / Kitting Associate

Job Summary
The Receiving Clerk / Kitting Associate is responsible for accurately receiving, inspecting, organizing, and preparing materials for production or shipment. This role ensures inventory accuracy, proper storage of goods, handling of non-conforming materials, and efficient kitting of products according to work orders or customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Receiving Duties
- Receive incoming shipments and verify contents against purchase orders or packing slips
- Inspect materials for damage, defects, or discrepancies
- Accurately record received items in inventory systems
- Label, tag, and store inventory in designated locations
- Put away inventory in proper warehouse locations following organization standards
- Identify, document, and move damaged or non-conforming materials to quarantine areas
- Communicate any shortages, damages, or errors to supervisors or purchasing
Kitting Duties
- Assemble kits according to work orders, BOMs (Bill of Materials), or customer requirements
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of all kits
- Package and label kits properly for internal use or shipment
- Maintain organization of kitting materials and workstations
Inventory & Warehouse Support
- Maintain accurate inventory counts and assist with cycle counts
- Ensure proper segregation of usable vs. quarantined inventory
- Keep warehouse clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
- Assist with shipping, picking, and other warehouse tasks as needed
- Operate warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks) if certified
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous warehouse, receiving, or kitting experience preferred
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (required)
- Basic computer skills (inventory systems, scanners, Excel is a plus)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or in a team
- Must pass a BG check and Drug Test
- Must pass E-Verify
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in a warehouse environment
